Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government has extended the medical reimbursement scheme to the employees and pensioners on par with Employees Health Scheme up to March 31, 2023, from August 1, 2022.

The state government has issued an order here on Tuesday extending the medical reimbursement scheme under the APIMA Rules, 1972, to the employees and pensioners and this will be the last extension and no more extensions will be given.

The GO said that as the employees being covered under EHS, represented that they were facing the problem of hospitals turning them away, the chief executive officer of Dr YSR Aarogyasri Health Care Trust was asked to take necessary action to address such and other complaints.

The CEO was instructed to ensure hassle-free access to EHS for employees and pensioners. The GO was issued with the concurrence of the finance department.
